This Star Wars inspired fight fit workout, This is The Way will have warriors punching and kicking their way to victory in a similar fashoin to the one and only, Din Djarin Mandalorian.


This Fight Fit workout was inspired by the fight skills of the Mandalorian, Din Djarin. Although the Mandalorian utilizes a number of weapons to defend himself, he still holds an advance set of fighting skills in unarmed combat. He knows how to execute punches, kicks and has the skillset to redirect movement to flip and throw an opponent. This fight fit workout will require warriors to punch and kick their way to victory through a series of stan-up fighting rounds.

Suitable for intermediate levels


Workout Benefits:

Improve fight skills

Practice intermediate fight skills

Improve cardiovascular endurance

Improve muscular endurance and strength


Workout Implementation:

To maintain balance between all other training practices, it’s recommended to complete a fight fit workout at least 3x/week at minimum.


Training Equipment:

Punching Bag

Boxing Gloves

Hand wraps


Warm Up:

Complete a 5 minute warm up or complete Initial Mile's Total Body Warm Up.


Cool Down:

Complete a 5 minute cool down or complete Initial Mile's Chi Flow Yoga Routine.


The Workout:

Round 1: Jab + Cross + Hook + Uppercut + Bob and weave + L Hook + R uppercut

Round 2: Jab + Cross + Push Kick + Round House Kick

Round 3: Jab + Cross + Round House Kick + Spin Back Kick

Clinch Exercise: Dragon Walks


Coach Notes:

  • When executing punches, always return each punch back to your chin.

  • Pivot foot when executing a hook punch.

  • Pivot the grounded foot when executing the round house kick.

  • Look over your shoulder when executing the spin back kick. For example, if you're exectuing a right leg spin back kick, rotate to your right to look over your right shoulder.

  • Do not overturn when executing the spin back kick.

  • Bend at your knees and not at the waist when executing a bob and weave defense maneuver,
